1.  Your Mindset Is Your Priority - Great Gift at Bottom of This Page!

This is the #1 thing most would be successful marketers get wrong.  They don't have the "right" mindset.  Without it, you will continue to stumble, fail, be taken advantage of and NEVER win at this internet marketing game.  It doesn't matter how good your product or your program - without the business mindset, you lose.

Developing the winner's business mindset is the most difficult work you'll ever do.  That's why so few actually DO it.  Many talk about, few DO it.  Bill Gates does it.  Notice I didn't say Bill Gates DID it?  Because it is ongoing, never ending, always growing... it is a task never completed.

Getting this "right", makes the rest just happen almost effortlessly.

2.  Learn to Spot a Fake, a Flake, aka a Swollen Ego

Nobody, and I repeat nobody, makes it alone online.  Internet marketing is relatively new - no one learned it in college.  Every successful person worked with others to learn and follow and lead their way along.  We all need to be good followers first, to be good leaders later.  We know that there are precious few who are the real deal.  Who are REALLY making money online... the rest are fakes.  There are also a few who do make money, but they do it at the expense of others - these are the flakes.  Then there are some who are a combination of a Fake and a Flake, and they present with a rather inflated Ego...

When you spot the so called  "leaders", who continue to lead their followers down the so called garden path, you can learn to avoid them.  They are not all evil or bad people, but some are.  Some are just doing what they've been taught.  Others are so full of themselves that while they may even actually  believe they are trying to help others, they are really working for praise and adoration.  Confidence is one thing - inflated ego is not akin to confidence.  Truly confident people do not require ongoing praise.  They do not need glory.  There are some ways to spot the well meaning, but inflated ego leaders...

Listen to their words.  Do they speak about themselves a lot?  "I want you to succeed", "I am so happy to give this to you", "I am doing this for you", are all clues.  These are ways to keep you beneath them - in owing mode...  Now they may sometimes use the word "we" in place of "I", but they really mean "I".

Working in groups is really great and it is an amazing way to accelerate the learning process.  The inflated ego leader won't really allow too much of that.  He is the obvious Big Kahuna and prefers to hold that position.  When you bring people into such a group, you are really giving up your power and, in a manner of speaking, submitting to the authority of the leader.  The people you bring in soon learn who the real leader is.

A group atmosphere that edifies YOU as a leader does not have an obvious Big Kahuna.  Every group requires some form of moderation, someone at the helm, but a healthy leader will not "take over".  Be wary of the Big Ego... don't begrudge them the glory and praise they need, just remove yourself from it.

If you work diligently on Priority #1 above - this will come naturally... you will find the right leaders to follow, and spotting the less than good ones gets easier too.

3.  Plan - You Must Have a Plan

Again, having Priority #1 makes this third must have fall into place.

Starting from wherever you are on the learning curve, you need a plan and you need to execute the plan.  Having a good mentor is a tremendous help in creating and executing a plan.
